Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is getting its first seasonal update Season 1 is expected to go live on December 4, 2025.

The timing lines up with the in-game countdown tied to the end of Black Ops 6’s current season. This update isn’t small it’s being called one of the biggest ever for a Black Ops launch.
When Season 1 arrives, players can expect seven new weapons, including confirmed ones like the Maddox assault rifle, Crossbow, and Ballistic Knife.

On the multiplayer side, there are six or seven maps some brand new, others remastered from older Black Ops games, like Meltdown and Standoff.
Zombies mode gets a big boost too: three new Zombies maps are coming, including a round-based map and two survival-style maps. Activision and Treyarch are really pushing the scale of this season in every direction.
One major highlight of Season 1 is full integration with Warzone. That means new weapons from Black Ops 7 will also become playable in Warzone, and expect ground loot to be more consistent.

According to the devs, some older content from Black Ops 6 will not carry forward, which marks a more “grounded” start for BO7-based Warzone.
Also, Raven Software has commented (via community channels) that Haven’s Hollow map is part of the Warzone roadmap moving into Season 1, and bigger map rotations are coming in future seasons.
Treyarch is calling this “the biggest season in Black Ops history.” With so many new maps, weapons, and Zombies content, plus Warzone integration, it’s not just content for one mode it's a full ecosystem update.

This is a post-launch moment designed to bring players together across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
By launching Season 1 weeks after BO7’s base game release (Nov 14, 2025), Treyarch gives players enough time to explore the new base game first, then jump into a huge wave of fresh content.
On Reddit, many players are excited for Warzone to finally sync up with BO7. Some ask whether all BO7 guns will be available in Warzone Day 1 and the general consensus is yes, once Season 1 goes live.

Others are noting that because BO6 content isn’t carried forward, this feels like a fresh start. But there’s also some worry: changes to loot and loadouts will force players to relearn how to play in Warzone.
Season 1 for Black Ops 7 isn’t just an update it’s a big relaunch. With new maps, weapons, Zombies, and Warzone integration, Treyarch is offering a full-service refresh across multiple planes of the game.
For fans, December 4 could feel like a second launch. Whether you play multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone, there’s something major to look forward to just mark your calendar, get ready, and clear space on your console or PC.
